Carlos L. Nunez prior to Owning and Operating SDVO Constructors, LP had an occupational history of Construction, and Owning a Business.
Mr Nunez’s construction experience started as summer work as a glazer alongside his father at El Paso Plate Glass at the age of 16. He later enlisted in the U. S. Army and served as a Paratrooper in the 82nd & 11th Airborne Division until 1959; (to this day he still serves as the Chairman, of the Property Purchase Fund, of El Paso’s Benavidez Paterson “All Airborne” Chapter).

He also worked for several years with the largest glass and glazing company in the United States, Pittsburg Plate & Glass, aka “PPG”. Some well known El Paso projects Mr. Nunez was personally on-site building include: The Coronado Tower, Surety Building on Gateway East, The Wells Fargo High-rise Building downtown. Other more nationally well known structures Mr. Nunez worked on are in Southern California, ranging from single story to 55 Story High-rises. Mr Nunez’s construction knowledge is exemplified by his 25 years experience, and attested to by his retirement pension from the Southern California, Arizona, Colorado, and Southern Nevada Glaziers,Architectural Metal and Glassworkers Union.
One of the several reasons Mr. Nunez formed SDVO was the foresight and perspective notice of the inevitable insolvency of his construction pension from Arizona, Colorado, and Southern Nevada Glaziers, Architectural Metal and Glassworkers Union. Mr. Nunez’s entrepreneurship experience also includes Ownership/Partnership of a Sports Lounge in the 1960’s & 1970’s in El Paso TX.
